Reflection

A Statement of Service - Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, Sunday 11 January. 

“A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench.” - Isaiah 42:3, by Mgr Daniel McHugh the Co-ordinator for Ethnic Chaplaincies in the Archdiocese of Birmingham. 

In this weekend's Burning Blush vlog Mgr Daniel draws especially on the practice of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, where the Blessing of Holy Water has a significant part to play in the marking of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

A 10-minute pause to be still and reflect on our Mission with the help of scripture, music/song, pictures, a homily and Adoration intended to lead into personal prayer and action.
