On Saturday 5 July the parish of St Osburg's in Coventry celebrated the Silver Jubilee of parish priest Fr Pontius Bandua.

Rev. Father Pontius Bandua, Apostles of Jesus Missionaries Uganda, also studied in (Nairobi and Kenya) Bachelor of Sacred Theology from Pontifical Urbaniana University Rome, Italy. He spent a pastoral spiritual year in the Apostles Jesus Junior seminary (Moroto, Uganda), holds a BA in Sacred Theology, was ordained a priest on the 1 July 2000 and has been parish priest of St Osburgs Coventry for the last 7 years. Fr Pontius is one of several Apostles of Jesus priests in the Coventry deanery. 

May God continue to bless him in his ministry to serve.

Speaking at the Mass, Fr. Desmond said that to follow Jesus: You have to Be Daft:

You have to Be a Disciple
You have to Be an Apostle 
You have to Be a Friend
You have to be in a Team 

Fr Pontius has truly been DAFT in this 25 years in God’s vineyard, he has also been true witness to Jesus and Humanity at large.

Coventry is blessed to have Fr Pontius Bandua.
