Of your charity, please pray for the Repose of the Soul of Reverend Mr William (Bill) Baines, retired Deacon of the Archdiocese, who died on Thursday 21 June 2024, at the age of 77.

Deacon Bill was ordained on 13 June 2004, and served as Deacon of Our Lady and St Rose parish, Weoley Castle and St Peter’s parish, Bartley Green. Despite his taking retirement he continued to offer support to the parishes.

We pray for Deacon Bill’s family, friends, his parish families and all who mourn him. May he Rest in Peace.

Funeral Arrangements

Deacon Bill's body will be received into St Peter’s Church, Adams Hill, Bartley Green, Birmingham, with Requiem Mass at 7pm on Tuesday 27 August.
