Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr John Samuel Baggley, a priest of the Archdiocese of Birmingham, living in retirement, who died on Wednesday 28 May. 

Fr John was ordained to the priesthood on 10 July 1998. He was Parish Priest of Sacred Heart, Blackbird Leys from 1998 – 2000, and then of Corpus Christi, Headington from 2000 – 2015.

We pray for members of his family, friends and parishioners from the parishes he served who mourn him. May he rest in peace. 

Funeral Arrangements

The Reception of Fr John’s body will be at Corpus Christi RC Church, Margaret Road, Headington, on Tuesday 1 July at 7pm, followed by Holy Mass.

The Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 2 July at 12noon. Archbishop Bernard Longley will preside.

The burial will be at Wolvercote Cemetery at 3.30pm.
