This is a message for all parishes which contain listed places of worship within their curtilage.
 
The Listed Places of Worship (LPW) Grant Scheme provides grants to cover the VAT incurred on repairs carried out to listed buildings used as places of worship, subject to a minimum application of £1,000.
 
You will be aware from previous notifications that the scheme has been renewed for a further period until the end of March 2026. However, ongoing or new projects claiming against this scheme will now be subject to a total claimable cap of £25,000 per building.
