Latest News Three Bishops return to St Dunstan's Parish to celebrate vocations The parish of St Dunstan and St Jude in Kings Heath celebrated a very special Mass for Vocations on Tuesday 26 November with not one, but three, bishops who are all sons of the parish. Bishop Timothy Menezes returned to his home parish to mark the occasion of his being ordained bishop in July. Bishop Timothy received Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Priestly Ordination at St Dunstan and St Jude’s and he is the third Kings Heath priest to be asked to take on the role of Bishop. The two other bishops are Bishops David Oakley (Northampton) and Patrick McKinney (Nottingham), who both attended the Mass. In addition, several priests who have grown up in the parish attended, along with guests, who have supported these men on their vocation journey and joined us in thanking the Lord for their ministry. In his homily, Bishop David reflected on Discipleship and asked us to pray for vocations and to consider our own vocation also. Diocesan Prayer for Vocations Heavenly Father, we ask you to send labourers into your harvest. Inspire, in the hearts of your people, vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life.
