To mark World Mission Sunday 2024 (Sunday 20 October), St Patrick’s church in Coventry had a beautiful Multicultural Mass to celebrate all the cultures in our parish community.  

We had African, Indian, Philippino and English choirs, and 20 different languages were represented in our hymns, readings and prayers, while everyone prayed the Our Father in their own language. 

We also had an Indian liturgical dance after Communion.

World Mission Sunday gave us a great opportunity to celebrate our unity in Christ from whatever part of the world we came. After Mass we shared food from across the world while we were entertained by the Melappolima Chenda Band from India.
